Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise in various accounting software and financial concepts will help support our organization's financial health and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording journal entries, processing accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining the general ledger. Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken to input transactions and generate financial reports. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation to uphold data integrity. Assist with payroll processing, tax preparation, and compliance activities related to governmental accounting standards. Prepare detailed financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, and budget reports for internal review. Support month-end closing procedures by verifying debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Qualifications Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. Familiarity with corporate accounting practices as well as non-profit or governmental accounting is preferred. Ability to perform bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting efficiently. Knowledge of financial concepts such as budgeting, account analysis, and financial report writing. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform 10 key typing accurately Prior experience in accounts payable/receivable management and payroll processing is highly desirable.
