Role:
Join Liberty Tax as a Bookkeeper in Brattleboro, VT, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records for our clients. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and development in a supportive team.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Prepare and process accounts payable and receivable transactions. Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow effectively. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. Support tax preparation and filing processes as needed. Communicate with clients to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies. Utilize accounting software to streamline bookkeeping tasks. Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred. Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.
