Job Description
Full Charge Bookkeeper Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Full Charge Bookkeeper who enjoys owning the day-to-day accounting process while supporting a mission-driven organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balances multiple priorities with accuracy, and brings a proactive, positive attitude to collaborating with internal teams and external partners. This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon. Full Charge Bookkeeper Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounts payable, expense reports, check runs, and vendor payments across multiple cost centers. Prepare invoices, process billing, maintain the general ledger, post journal entries, and complete monthly account reconciliations and month-end close. Process semi-monthly payroll and support payroll-related activities while maintaining accurate financial records. Record and track donations, deposits, and financial transactions using accounting and donor management systems. Support financial reporting, maintain organized accounting records, and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency. Full Charge Bookkeeper Qualifications Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent accounting experience will also be considered. Experience with full-charge bookkeeping, including accounts payable, general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close. Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop; experience with payroll systems and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus, but candidates with strong accounting backgrounds in other industries are encouraged to apply. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and grow.
