Competitive Hourly Rate Based on Experience About Our Firm The Law Offices of Brian A. Dasinger is a growing law practice dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation and client service. We are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Part-Time Bookkeeper to assist with the financial management of our firm. Prior law firm bookkeeping experience is strongly preferred. Position Overview The Part-Time Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting functions, and ensuring compliance with legal accounting requirements, including attorney trust account management. This position offers flexible scheduling and is ideal for an experienced bookkeeper seeking part-time work in a professional environment. Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile operating and trust (IOLTA) accounts Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Process client payments and monitor retainer balances Prepare monthly financial reports and account reconciliations Assist with payroll processing and related reporting Manage billing, invoicing, and collections Work closely with the firm's CPA and tax professionals Ensure compliance with applicable trust accounting rules and regulations Maintain organized and confidential financial records Qualifications Required Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality Preferred Experience working for a law firm Knowledge of attorney trust accounting (IOLTA) Familiarity with legal billing and practice management software such as MyCase or similar Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel Accounting or bookkeeping certification and/or relevant college coursework What We Offer Flexible part-time schedule Professional and supportive work environment Competitive hourly compensation based on qualifications Opportunity for long-term growth with an established law firm How to Apply Interested candidates should submit the following: Resume Brief cover letter describing bookkeeping and legal experience Professional references Resumes may be sent to: Law Offices of Brian A.
