Job Description
Seacoast Solutions for Business provides comprehensive payroll, bookkeeping, and accounting services to a diverse portfolio of over 80 clients. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll & Accounting Specialist to support both payroll processing and core accounting functions. The ideal candidate is capable of independently managing multiple client engagements, prioritizing competing deadlines, and producing accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP standards. Position Overview This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, payroll tax compliance, and the accurate reflection of payroll activity within client financial records. In addition, the position supports monthly and quarterly close processes, account reconciliations, and general bookkeeping functions. Key Responsibilities Payroll & Compliance Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll for multiple clients Ensure accurate and timely payroll tax filings and payments Maintain compliance with federal and state payroll regulations Bookkeeping & Operations Classify and record expenses, income, liabilities, and notes payable Reconcile bank and credit card accounts, identifying outstanding items Manage vendor records, including W-9s and 1099 preparation Maintain organized financial documentation and records Accounting & Financial Reporting Record and reconcile payroll transactions within client financials Prepare monthly financial statements, including: Balance Sheet Profit & Loss Statement of Cash Flows Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations Complete month-end close by the second week of each month Process Improvement Identify and implement improvements to workflows and procedures Maintain clear and up-to-date process documentation Qualifications Proven experience in bookkeeping, payroll, or a similar accounting role Preferred degree in related Business field Strong understanding of GAAP principles Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop/Online Prior use of Payroll Platform (ADP preferred) Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities What Sets You Apart Experience managing multiple clients or accounts simultaneously Ability to prioritize and adapt in a deadline-driven environment Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Pay:
From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:
