ABOUT US
The Fogarty Center is a private, non-profit agency that provides a variety of services and supports to children and adults with intellectual, developmental and/or other disabilities.
JOB PURPOSE
o Collaborate with the finance team in all aspects of accounts payable and coordinate as needed with other members of finance including accounting and accounts receivable. o Perform accounting functions per established procedures or as directed by the Accounts Payable Manager including but not limited to: ▪ Processing, reviewing of weekly/monthly/one-time accounts payable transactions ▪ Processing, reconciling of biweekly/monthly petty cash for all agency programs ▪ Processing entries for misc. monthly batches as needed ▪ General ledger analysis/historical transaction review as needed ▪ Process quarterly petty cash reconciliations ▪ Manage, prepare, & complete designated credit card reconciliations ▪ Create & process GP entries for all manual checks & ACH payments ▪ Scan documents & update spreadsheets as needed (grants, prepaid, fixed assets, etc.) ▪ Provide paid invoices & details to the Accounts Payable Manager/Finance Director/CFO that need to be given to AR for billing ▪ Prepare bi-weekly computer check run of Payables and first month check run ▪ Analyze and notate necessary information on the weekly cash requirements report and provide updates to the CEO Assist with a portion of community & center day program attendance sheet processing each month Review attendance & prepare monthly billing (outside of community & center day mentioned above) for certain programs as needed Cash receipts review & posting to Great Plains (GP) accounting system Assist with miscellaneous excel-based projects, primarily involving the setup of quarterly and annual workbooks for subsequent billing and other purposes. Periodic maintenance of master listing or workbooks, and updating routinely used files such as attendance sheet templates Routine tracking of client specifics needed to bill, such as client eligibility Preparing payments received in the form of cash, money order, or check for the weekly/bi-weekly bank deposit and post deposit to accounting system Other monthly, quarterly, or annual projects as needed Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager, AR Assistance Finance Director, Financial Director and
CFO QUALIFICATIONS
o Associate degree in accounting, business, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred o Strong computer skills and the ability to learn Agency accounting software system o Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills o Strong verbal/written, interpersonal, and presentation skills o Innovative qualities to assist with the development and implementation of changes as approved by the Accounts Payable Manager o Pro-active, detail-oriented, and a team player
