Finance Manager What You'll Do QuickBooks & Financial Record-Keeping Use QuickBooks Online to maintain accurate financial records across our programs: Enter transactions and maintain accurate coding across multiple grant funding sources Process accounts payable and receivable, including grant reimbursements Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Support month-end close processes Maintain organized, audit-ready records for grant compliance Federal Meal Program Reporting (WellSky System) Learn WellSky, the reporting system for our Title III-C federal nutrition program.Full training is provided:
Enter participant information and meal service records accurately Generate monthly reports for federal compliance and grant reimbursement Maintain documentation that meets federal audit requirements Meet monthly reporting deadlines Daily Financial Administration Collect and deposit cash and checks from front desk operations Reconcile credit card statements and maintain expense documentation Keep financial files organized and accessible Senior Center Front Desk Support (Secondary Responsibility) Provide friendly front desk coverage during your shift Answer phones and greet seniors who visit our center Help seniors with membership, meal sign-ups, and activity enrollmentWhat We're Looking For Required Experience & Skills:
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online—this is essential 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or finance experience Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Comfortable working independently and collaborating with team members Comfortable learning new computer systems Experience with accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations Understanding of basic accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Reliable and able to meet deadlinesPersonal Qualities:
Patient and friendly with seniors Motivated by mission-driven work Professional and dependable Good communicator Helpful But Not Required Experience in nonprofit accounting or fund accounting Familiarity with grant compliance or federal reporting Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Bilingual (English/Spanish) Work Environment & Schedule We offer flexibility within our 20-25 hour per week range. Afternoon schedules work particularly well for this role, but we're open to discussing options that fit your needs and our operational requirements. You'll work in an active, friendly senior center environment with daily programs and community activities. You'll collaborate with our Finance Manager and work closely with the Executive Director as part of a small, supportive team. As you become comfortable with our systems and operations, your responsibilities will naturally grow with the role. There's a standard 90-day onboarding period where we'll train you on our systems and help you get comfortable with the role.
