Job Description
Olsten Staffing is assisting a local client in Bennettsville, South Carolina to find an experienced and eager Accounting Specialist to join their growing team! The Accounting Specialist will handle vendor invoices, reconciliations, billing, reporting, and other accounting functions while supporting the month-end closing process. Job Responsibilities Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders and receiving reports, and resolve discrepancies. Obtain and verify invoice payment approvals. Assist with preliminary budget preparation. Prepare customer billings and supporting schedules. Prepare and maintain reports and spreadsheets for vendor payments, general ledger transactions, purchase orders, utilities, and leases. Perform reconciliations on various financial data. Assist with month-end closing. Ensure compliance with applicable tax requirements. Answer telephone inquiries and provide general office support. Review financial information, identify discrepancies, and follow up to make sure issues are resolved. Handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines and changing priorities. Qualifications Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field OR 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience preferred. Previous accounting or finance experience preferred. Manufacturing experience is a plus. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including creating and maintaining spreadsheets, sorting data, calculations, and tables. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. SAP experience is a plus. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines. Must be comfortable working under pressure and working overtime when needed, especially during month-end close. Pay Details:
$25.00 to $27.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
