Job Description

Accounting Assistant Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday - 8 AM to 5 PM The probationary period is 90 days , during which the training period takes place
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clear and professional customer service, including answering phone calls. Daily order entry for material. Generate financial reports and assist with data entry. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable. Maintain accurate records of expenses and revenue.
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of accounting experience with references and a positive job history. Minimum of two years payroll experience. Must know how to reconcile bank and credit card accounts. Experience beyond just accounts payable and accounts receivable is required. Sage Accounting System experience is a plus.
Additional Skills and Abilities:
Must be proficient with MS Office applications. Must possess the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team structure. Must communicate professionally and clearly in written and verbal format. Must have excellent organizational skills. Must have general understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry is required.
