Position Summary:
The Part-Time Student Accounts Associate supports the financial operations of Student Accounts through account reconciliation, balance monitoring, and financial reporting. This position is primarily responsible for reconciling federal Title IV, state, and institutional aid, as well as student account transactions. The Student Accounts Associate works alongside offices within Student Services to maintain accurate financial records.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Represent NGU in creating a professional, welcoming, and helpful environment by providing general assistance, including answering phones and addressing student account issues. Assist with the management of the Student Accounts email inbox and process incoming requests from students, faculty, and staff. Maintain and reconcile the institutional Balance Due tracking, ensuring accuracy and timely updates throughout each semester. Perform detailed reconciliation of student account transactions, including charges, payments, refunds, and financial aid postings. Reconcile federal Title IV funds, state aid programs, institutional financial records, and other student account transactions while researching and resolving discrepancies. Assist with monthly, semester-end, and year-end reconciliation processes and reporting requirements. Maintain accurate documentation of reconciliation activities, findings, and resolutions. Assist with the annual audit preparation by providing supporting documentation, reports, and reconciliation records. Assist at new student connect events, check-in events, and commencement, as needed. Assist with special projects assigned by the Director for Student Accounts and provide general support to the Student Services Department as needed. Maintain confidentiality of student financial information in accordance with university policies and applicable federal and state regulations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Visual Abilities:
reading reports, creating presentations, and using a computer system.

hear well enough to communicate with co-workers, vendors, and students.
Dexterity:
grasping, feeling, writing, typing, and using the telephone, copier, and computer systems.
Mobility:
open files and operate office machines; move between departments and attend meetings across campus.
Talking:
frequently convey detailed or important instructions and ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly. Lifting, pulling, and pushing: exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Cognitive/Emotional:
ability to think critically and concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in conditions 75 to 100% of the time.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
This position is a part-time, non-exempt position in the Student Services Department at North Greenville University. The position reports to the Director of Student Accounts.
WORK SCHEDULE
Student Services is open Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon. Office hours are subject to change as deemed necessary. Weekly schedule is to be determined based on 25 hours per week. TRAVEL There is no travel associated with this position. Affirm an understanding of, and not to advocate against, the Baptist Faith & Message 2000 and an understanding of the University's Statement on Human Flourishing. Agree to abide by the employee handbooks, including community standards agreements. Experience in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and data analysis. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment when researching and resolving discrepancies. Must be able to handle and maintain confidential information.
