Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will manage the organization's financial records, ensure accuracy in accounting processes, and support the preparation of financial reports. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial data, facilitate compliance with accounting standards, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to apply their accounting skills in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Quicken Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation to ensure consistency across all accounts Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions promptly and accurately Prepare journal entries, conduct balance sheet reconciliation, and assist with month-end closing procedures Support budgeting activities and assist in financial report writing for internal and external stakeholders Manage payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Conduct account analysis, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting to uphold data integrity Requirements Proven experience with bookkeeping, accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage), and financial concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and journal entries Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, governmental accounting practices, and non-profit accounting (if applicable) Familiarity with account reconciliation processes including bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation Ability to perform detailed account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation efficiently Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for accuracy in data entry (including 10 key typing) Knowledge of payroll processing, tax experience, and financial report writing is highly desirable Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and external auditors Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to excellence in financial management.
