Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. This contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in accounts receivable processes, cash applications, and reconciliations while ensuring accuracy and timely completion of tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts receivable transactions, including invoices, payments, and adjustments, to maintain accurate financial records.
• Handle cash applications, ensuring all payments are correctly allocated and documented.
• Manage billing functions, including preparing and sending invoices to clients.
• Perform credit card reconciliations to confirm all transactions align with financial statements.
• Record and monitor daily cash receipts, ensuring proper tracking and reporting.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee check runs and ensure timely processing of payments.
• Collaborate with the collections team to recover outstanding balances from commercial clients.
• Provide support in maintaining compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Prepare detailed financial reports to assist in decision-making and auditing processes. Requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or related financial role.
• Proficiency in cash applications and daily cash management processes.
• Strong knowledge of billing functions and credit card reconciliation.
• Ability to perform detailed account reconciliations with accuracy.
• Familiarity with check runs and payment processing.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.
• Proficiency in financial systems and software relevant to accounts receivable operations.
