Accounting Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices, with the ability to analyze data effectively. This role involves managing various accounting functions and maintaining accurate financial records. The Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organization. Duties Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Manage accounts payable and receivable processing, ensuring timely and accurate entries and payments. Meet monthly, bi-monthly and special sub-contractor processing deadlines. Vendor compliance Reconcile credit card and vendor statements. Utilize software such as Sage 100 Contractor, QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise, and Microsoft 365 for daily financial transactions and reporting. Provide support for any inquiries related to financial operations or reporting. Complete any duties requested by Accounting Manager. Qualifications Strong knowledge of debits and credits, with experience in general ledger reconciliation. Proficiency in using accounting software. Previous experience in construction accounting is a plus but not required. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
