Competitive hourly wage, based on experience Job Summary Armstrong Electrical Supply is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Office Clerk to support daily administrative and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and experience handling office duties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and customer order management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Assist customers, vendors, and sales staff with inquiries regarding orders and account information. Enter, process, and verify customer orders accurately. Maintain and update customer and vendor records. Process accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, payment posting, and collections follow-up. Process accounts payable, including invoice entry, vendor payments, and reconciliation of statements. Assist with payroll preparation and processing, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Maintain organized filing systems for financial and operational records. Generate reports and assist management with administrative tasks as needed. Monitor office supplies and coordinate purchasing when necessary. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures. Perform general clerical duties including data entry, scanning, copying, and document management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous office administration, bookkeeping, or accounting experience preferred. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with accounting or ERP software is preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer. Occasionally lift and carry office materials up to 25 pounds. Ability to perform repetitive hand and keyboard movements. Armstrong Electrical Supply is an equal opportunity employer and values a diverse and professional workplace.
