Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Allen, Texas. This position will play a key role in managing cash applications, collections, and other essential accounts receivable tasks. Responsibilities:

• Apply incoming payments to customer accounts accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitor and manage outstanding receivables, ensuring prompt resolution of overdue accounts.
• Perform commercial collections by contacting clients to address payment discrepancies or delays.
• Reconcile bank transactions to ensure all cash activity is accurately recorded.
• Prepare and send invoices to customers while ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies to maintain account accuracy.
• Maintain detailed records of all accounts receivable transactions for reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment issues and improve processes.
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
• Provide support for audits by preparing relevant documentation and reports. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts receivable, cash applications, and collections.
• Strong knowledge of billing functions and related processes.
• Proficiency in reconciling bank transactions and handling cash activity.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial tasks.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
