About the Role This role will be responsible providing critical finance/FP&A support (inclusive of financial and KPI modeling, financial oversight with relevant driver explanation) and guidance to internal customers such as the Client Management and Marketing teams on strategic business decisions that drive customer sales, retention, and cost savings. The Day-to-Day Conduct calculation and payment of non-payroll commission activities for our large base of insurance agents. Conduct self-audits by cross-referencing reports and other data sources. Function as liaison with our carrier partners to obtain data needed for integration with AMBA systems. Provide timely and accurate financial information about all compensation activities, continuous testing and improvement of the commission system while interfacing with our technology development team. Entering and coding of vendor invoices. Identify, research, reconcile and resolve any discrepancies, and subsequent communication with any affected vendors or agents. Handling and working with large volumes of data. Produce ad hoc analysis and reports for Executive management team.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field, or 1-2 years of experience in analytic finance/accounting, compensation, or payroll preferred. Must have intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, charting, etc.) Demonstrated data manipulation skills, including work with complex data structures and commission plan structures. Accounting system experience desired (NetSuite experience a plus) Commission system experience desired (Agency Bloc and/or VUE Distribution Management Suite experience a plus) Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, collaboration, and presentation skills Maintaining confidentiality of all compensation-related information Strong quantitative background - must understand how all transactions affect the bottom line. Ability to work in the Austin, TX office 4 days of the week, with Friday's being remote.
