FULL CHARGE BOOKKEEPER

DOE Work Setting:
Primarily on-site A privately held business group is seeking an experienced, dependable Full-Charge Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records across multiple related companies. The successful candidate must be able to work independently in QuickBooks Online, maintain strict separation among entities, meet reporting deadlines and protect highly confidential financial information. This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have directly relevant bookkeeping experience and be prepared to demonstrate proficiency in reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable and QuickBooks Online during the interview process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain complete and accurate bookkeeping records for multiple business entities Record income, expenses, deposits, transfers and other financial transactions Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loans and merchant-processing accounts Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Prepare invoices and track outstanding balances Maintain vendor information, W-9s and supporting documentation Properly record intercompany transactions and owner contributions or distributions Assist with payroll entries and payroll-account reconciliations Track rental income, property expenses and security deposits Maintain construction job-cost records, vendor payments, receipts and project expenses Reconcile restaurant sales, deposits, merchant fees and delivery-platform activity Assist with sales-tax and other recurring financial reporting Complete monthly close procedures and provide accurate financial reports by entity Prepare organized records and supporting schedules for the outside CPA, lenders and ownership Maintain confidential financial, business and personal information Identify missing information, unreconciled items and unusual transactions promptly
QUALIFICATIONS
At least three years of professional bookkeeping experience Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online Demonstrated experience reconciling bank and credit-card accounts Understanding of general-ledger entries, financial statements and month-end close Ability to maintain books for multiple entities without combining or misclassifying transactions Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and follow through consistently Professional judgment and a high level of confidentiality Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and electronic document-management systems
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Multi-entity bookkeeping Real estate or property-management accounting Construction job costing Restaurant or hospitality accounting Payroll and sales-tax reconciliation A college degree and CPA license are not required. Relevant, verifiable bookkeeping experience may substitute for formal education. Final candidates may be asked to complete a brief QuickBooks or bookkeeping assessment and participate in job-related reference and background checks.

Every account is reconciled monthly Financial records remain current and properly documented Each company's transactions are accurately separated Ownership receives dependable reports without having to repeatedly request corrections The outside CPA receives clean, organized records Deadlines are tracked and completed without last-minute emergencies This position does not have independent authority to release payments, transfer funds or establish new vendors without approval.

Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
