Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of the company's accounting functions, including general ledger management, payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills and a comprehensive understanding of financial software systems to ensure accuracy and compliance across all financial activities. Bookkeeping for the construction industry is preferred. Responsibilities Manage full-cycle bookkeeping processes including journal entries, account reconciliations, and ledger maintenance in accordance with GAAP standards. Oversee payroll administration using QuickBooks on-line, ensuring timely and accurate employee payments while managing tax filings. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently using software like QBO, QuickBooks desktop and JobTread. Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations to verify account accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly. Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries for management review and audit purposes Occasionally back up the Administrative Assistant with phone answering and greeting walk ins. Requirements Minimum of four years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within a small business environment. Proficiency in QBO accounting software Strong knowledge of technical accounting practices. Experience with payroll management systems including QuickBooks Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, journal entries, and balance sheet analysis accurately. Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail; proficiency in 10-key typing and double-entry bookkeeping is essential. Knowledge of tax regulations related to payroll and corporate accounting.
