Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Accounting Clerk supports the day-to-day accounting operations of a manufacturing facility by processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with inventory and cost accounting activities. This role works closely with operations, purchasing, production, and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies. Primary Responsibilities Process accounts payable invoices, match purchase orders, and prepare payments Assist with accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and cash application Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation Support inventory transactions, cycle count reconciliation, and inventory reporting Assist with manufacturing cost tracking and variance analysis Enter and reconcile production, labor, and material usage data Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing activities Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies Maintain vendor and customer files and respond to inquiries Assist with fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules Support audits by gathering documentation and preparing reports Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls Generate routine financial and operational reports for management Collaborate with plant personnel to improve accounting accuracy and process efficiency
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Experience with ERP or manufacturing accounting systems preferred Computer Equipment and Software Requirements � Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
