Job Description
Accounting Assistant Pay:
$18-$24/hourExperience:
Entry-Level / Early Career We're looking for a highly organized Accounting Assistant to help us stay on top of the everyday financial details of our growing business. This is a great role for an upper-level college student, recent graduate, or someone early in their accounting/finance career who wants hands-on experience with how a business actually operates. Responsibilities Manage basic Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks. Monitor NET payment terms and outstanding customer balances. Follow up on late payments and ping Sales Reps when their customers need attention. Track incoming payments and make sure checks/deposits get processed. Help enter and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO) . Track bills and make sure payments don't get missed. Review company subscriptions and recurring expenses and help cancel things we no longer need. Help with basic weekly/monthly financial reporting. Research discrepancies, refunds, credits, duplicate charges, and missing payments. Help organize receipts, invoices, and other accounting documentation. Occasionally help turn unused company assets into cash — including listing furniture, equipment, fixtures, etc. on Facebook Marketplace. Assist leadership with other basic accounting and administrative projects as needed. Who We're Looking For Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred. Comfortable with numbers, spreadsheets, and learning new systems. Extremely organized and good at following up. Willing to ask questions when something doesn't look right. QuickBooks Online experience is a plus, but not required. Someone who takes initiative and doesn't need to be reminded repeatedly to check on something.The goal is simple:
help us make sure bills get paid, customers pay us, deposits arrive, QuickBooks stays organized, unnecessary expenses get cut, and money doesn't fall through the cracks.Pay:
