Job Description
Description We are looking for a Part-Time (~25/hrs week) Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team on a part-time, contract-to-permanent basis in Cleburne, Texas. This position involves ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of customer invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to managing customer accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and process customer invoices in alignment with established accounting standards.
- Accurately record and validate incoming payments, ensuring proper posting to accounts.
- Maintain and update the accounts receivable ledger, reconciling payments and preparing reports on overdue accounts.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding delinquent accounts and respond to inquiries about billing in a timely manner.
- Handle ad hoc customer billing and reporting tasks as required.
- Assist with onboarding new customers by reviewing setup documentation and conducting credit checks.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Support other accounting tasks and projects as assigned. Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative while maintaining focus on quality.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable processes, including collections and cash applications.
- Experience with accounting systems or platforms is preferred but not required.
