Full Charge Bookkeeper Children's Eye Center of El Paso - 3.5 El Paso, TX Job Details Part-time $20 - $25 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) QuickBooks Online Certified User Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage comprehensive accounting functions within our organization. The will work closely with one other bookeeper. The ideal candidate will possess a Degree in Accounting, 3-7 years of practice experience, and be Quickbooks Certified user.. As a key member of our finance team, you will oversee all aspects of financial record-keeping, ensuring accuracy, compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and timely reporting. This role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the financial health and operational efficiency of our organization through meticulous bookkeeping and financial management. Responsibilities Maintain the general ledger by recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy in financial data entry. Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections. Perform balance sheet reconciliations regularly to verify account balances and identify discrepancies. Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP standards for internal review and external compliance. Oversee and process payroll ensuring timely processing and compliance with tax regulations and related matters Conduct account analysis to monitor financial performance, identify variances, and support budgeting efforts. Utilize various accounting and businenss office software including QuickBooks, Excel, Word, etc. to streamline bookkeeping processes and reprots Assist with tax preparation activities by maintaining detailed records of deductible expenses and supporting documentation. Skills Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy in 10-key typing and attention to detail in financial data management. Extensive experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Word, Excel and similar platforms.
Preferred:
Strong understanding of GAAP principles along with governmental or non-profit accounting standards. Knowledge of technical accounting concepts including journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and balance sheet analysis. Familiarity with financial concepts such as budgeting, credit analysis, account analysis, and financial statement preparation. Ability to communicate effectively across departments while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Pay:
