40 Hours per year Duties Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software: QuickBooks Desktop Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy of financial data. Prepare and process journal entries, account reconciliations, and double-entry bookkeeping transactions in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, delivery, and recording bills. Assist with financial report writing, budget analysis, and month-end closing procedures. Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. Experience Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with strong knowledge of accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar software. Demonstrated expertise in corporate accounting practices, non-profit accounting (if applicable), governmental accounting or public accounting is a plus. Familiarity with financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account analysis, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation. Experience handling payroll processing, tax filings, accounts payable/receivable management, and bank reconciliations. Strong understanding of GAAP standards and technical accounting principles related to general ledger reconciliation and financial reporting. Prior experience working with various financial software platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage or similar systems is highly desirable.
