Job Description
Job Summary:
The Accounting Clerk at Efans Lift plays a key role in supporting the company's financial operations. This position is responsible for processing invoices, payments, and account reconciliations, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The Accounting Clerk works closely with the finance team to support daily business activities, contribute to month-end closings, and assist with vendor and customer inquiries. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and issue invoices, vendor payments, receipts, and purchase orders.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.
- Enter and verify financial data in accounting software and spreadsheets.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and staff to resolve billing or payment issues.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and compliance documentation.
- Perform additional accounting or administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Previous experience as an accounting clerk, bookkeeper, or in a related accounting role.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with vendors, customers, and internal staff.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Knowledge of federal and state compliance regulations is a plus.
