Accounting Specialist

Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our construction accounting team who can hit the ground running. This position requires a quick, accurate, and efficient individual who can handle high-volume data entry , manage multiple platforms and priorities. Must be amazing with time management and organization. This candidate will also have a minimum of 4 years recently in the construction accounting industry, thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all vendor invoices and payments are processed accurately each day. In addition, you will cross train with other staff. Key Responsibilities Our candidate will be working with Accounts Receivable to start and will then move on to learn the Accounts Payable position. Resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders. Maintain accurate records and systems for invoices, payments, and related documents. Manage daily bank runs, posting deposits in software system. New job and budget set up. Collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate payment processing. Prepare and process lien releases and verify compliance documentation as needed if necessary. Utilize multiple software systems (Quickbooks Online, Bill.com and Buildertrend) simultaneously for data entry and record maintenance. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently while maintaining accuracy. Manage the subcontractor/vendor packages, insurance, compliance process. Complete Certified Payroll Reports as necessary. Review and correct Subcontractor

AIA, HUD

billing as necessary.

Qualifications:

5+ years of accounts payable/receivable experience (in the construction industry). Proven experience with heavy data entry and high transaction volume. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software; ability to learn new systems quickly. Exceptional attention to detail ∾curacy . Ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and internal team coordination.
