Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records related to automotive dealership operations. Your expertise will ensure compliance with accounting standards and support the smooth processing of financial transactions. Responsibilities Perform data entry and account reconciliation for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions specific to automotive dealership operations Manage payroll processing using systems such as ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, ensuring timely and accurate employee compensation Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and verify financial data accuracy in accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft Prepare and review journal entries in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls Assist with governmental and non-profit accounting requirements, including tax filings and audit support Support month-end and year-end closing processes by analyzing financial statements and preparing reports for management Utilize technical accounting knowledge to resolve discrepancies related to debits & credits, account analysis, and account reconciliation Join us as an Automotive Accounting Clerk to become a key contributor in maintaining precise financial records that drive our success.
