JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE
Financial Officer
FT REPORTS TO
Executive Director Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Record all financial contributions in QuickBooks software program and track designated funds for all programs.
  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Monthly financial reports
  • Payroll and payroll tax processing
  • Year-end filings of W2's and 1099s
  • Maintain financial donations and in-kind databases.
  • Assistance with preparation for outside annual review.
  • Prepare budgets for grants as needed.
  • Organize and maintain financial filing systems.
  • Prepare financial deposits and make deposit.
  • Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner.
  • Keep records for all expenditures of FPO, including all expenditures in each program.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for the Board of Directors.
  • Monitor the expenditures in relation to the current budget and report findings to the Executive Director.
  • Any duties deemed necessary by the FPO Executive Director.
MINIMUM CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Must have 2-year bookkeeper/accounting experience and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • A Bachelor degree in accounting.
  • Must have proficiency in utilizing the QuickBooks accounting software package.
  • Previous non-profit agency experience preferred.
  • Well-organized, high attention-to-detail, goal oriented.
  • Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks, error free, in a fast-paced environment.
