Job Description

Staff Accountant Location:
Onsite - South Jordan, UT Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their accounting and finance team. This role supports multiple business entities and plays a key part in maintaining accurate, organized financial records across day-to-day operations. Compensation:
$55,000 - $70,000 salary, based on experience Stock Options Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Fully Stocked Breakroom A Day in the Life of the Staff Accountant In this role, you'll support daily accounting operations across several affiliated business entities, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and financial records stay organized and audit-ready. You'll work across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations while helping maintain clean, reliable financial data. This position offers strong exposure to a variety of accounting functions and the opportunity to grow into broader finance responsibilities over time.
Responsibilities include:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations across multiple business entities Process and accurately categorize financial transactions Support Accounts Payable processes including invoice entry, coding, and tracking Assist with Accounts Receivable tracking and monitor outstanding balances Perform account reconciliations and prepare supporting documentation Review and categorize expenses using Divvy Maintain organized financial records and documentation Review employee reimbursements for accuracy and proper approvals Track loan payments and maintain supporting schedules Assist with internal financial reporting and administrative accounting tasks Monitor invoices and ensure proper logging and processing Maintain AP/AR tracking schedules and reconciliation support files Provide weekly updates on outstanding accounting items
Requirements and Qualifications:
0-2 years of accounting experience/exposure Familiarity with QuickBooks or other ERP/accounting systems Experience in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation) Experience with account reconciliations Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly Reliable, proactive, and coachable Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment About the
