Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting the organization's financial health. Your expertise will help streamline accounting processes, facilitate precise reporting, and support our commitment to transparency and accountability. Duties Record and reconcile financial transactions using accounting software, QuickBooks Online. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections Prepare journal entries, perform bank reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify accuracy of financial data Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant regulations while maintaining detailed payroll records Assist in budgeting activities and prepare financial reports that support decision-making Ensure adherence to governmental accounting standards for non-profit or public organizations when applicable Requirements Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping and financial concepts Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online. Experience with corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, or governmental accounting is highly desirable Strong skills in spreadsheets, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis Familiarity with GAAP standards and technical accounting practices Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently for data entry tasks Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate financial reports and journal entries Knowledge of payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and general ledger accounting A plus if you have general office management/secretary skills.
