Job Description
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help support the organization's financial health and operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse accounting systems and contribute to meaningful financial reporting within a collaborative environment. Duties Manage daily bookkeeping activities including data entry, journal entries, and account analysis using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other financial systems Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data Process payroll-related transactions in compliance with applicable regulations Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections Prepare financial reports, balance sheets, income statements, and other documentation in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Conduct account reconciliation tasks to verify account balances and identify discrepancies for resolution Experience Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles Extensive knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, Sage, or equivalent platforms Familiarity with financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, general ledger accounting, and account analysis Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations accurately and efficiently Strong proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data management and analysis Knowledge of payroll processing procedures and governmental reporting requirements is highly desirable Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks such as budgeting, financial report writing, and account analysis while maintaining attention to detail Join our team to play a crucial role in maintaining our organization's financial integrity!
