As we continue to expand, we're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Payroll Specialist to support our accounting operations.
Position Summary:
The Accounts Receivable & Payroll Specialist will process payroll—including Certified Payroll reporting—and all aspects of accounts receivable. This position ensures financial accuracy, supports compliance requirements, and provides essential communication to both employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll (Including Certified Payroll): Process weekly/biweekly payroll for all Silverline Electric employees with accuracy and confidentiality. Review timecards, deductions, PTO, prevailing wage requirements, and job classifications. Prepare and submit Certified Payroll Reports for public works projects (e.g., LCPtracker, state systems, etc.). Maintain compliant payroll records for state and federal audits. Ensure adherence to prevailing wage laws and project-specific requirements. Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable:
Prepare and send customer invoices for completed services. Record and apply customer payments accurately. Review AR aging reports and follow up on outstanding invoices. Communicate with customers regarding billing questions or discrepancies. Support month-end close and reporting.
General Accounting Support:
Assist with reconciliations, reporting, and year-end processes. Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation. Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in payroll and/or accounts receivable. Experience with Certified Payroll, prevailing wage, or government/public works reporting. Experience with payroll systems ( Service Titan, Miter, etc.). Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently. Excellent communication and customer-service abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in construction, electrical, plumbing & HVAC contracting, or similar trade industries. Familiarity with Sage Intacct, Sage Construction Management, Service Titan, Miter, LCPtracker, or similar payroll/prevailing wage systems and accounting systems.
