Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Monroe, Washington. This is a Contract to permanent position within the food and food processing industry, offering an excellent opportunity for career growth. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable processes, including billing, cash applications, and handling deductions or discounts.
• Process and reconcile daily deposits and physical check payments accurately.
• Collaborate with the sales team to push sales orders through and approve transactions.
• Perform light collections on outstanding accounts ranging from 0 to 30 days.
• Generate and process credit memos and monthly commission payments.
• Work closely with the logistics manager on payment-related tasks.
• Maintain accurate records using Word, Excel, and 10-key by touch.
• Utilize NetYield software for tracking and reporting financial data.
• Adapt to monthly duties and provide flexibility for occasional appointments.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies and ensuring accounts are up-to-date. Requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and 10-key by touch.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new payment systems and software.
• Familiarity with NetYield or similar accounting platforms is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.
• Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
