Job Description
North West Restoration (NWR) Tri-Cities, WA | Full-Time (with transition support from current bookkeeper) North West Restoration is a growing restoration and remodeling company serving the Tri-Cities and surrounding communities. We specialize in fire, water, and insurance-driven restoration and are building a company known for honesty, professionalism, and customer service . Our longtime bookkeeper is retiring later this year after 25 years with the company. She will help transition and may remain part-time. We are looking for a high-level, detail-driven Bookkeeper to take ownership of our financial operations and help us scale. This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for someone who can run the financial engine of the company . What You'll Do You will manage the day-to-day financial backbone of the company, including: Core Accounting & Bookkeeping Daily transaction posting and reconciliation Full AP/AR management and collections tracking Bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations Job cost tracking (construction/restoration projects) Monthly financial statements & reporting Payroll & Compliance Process weekly payroll Handle L&I claims, workers comp, and audits Track employee time, benefits, and deductions Prepare quarterly payroll tax filings Taxes & Reporting Prepare quarterly financial reports Coordinate with CPA for year-end taxes Track sales tax, B&O, and use tax (WA) Support budgeting and forecasting Administrative & Office Support Maintain organized financial systems Assist leadership with financial analysis Improve processes and internal controls Support audits, insurance requests, and job cost reviews What We're Looking For 7+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience Construction or restoration industry experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of job costing Payroll & WA compliance experience (L&I, B&O, workers comp) Advanced QuickBooks (or similar) experience Excel / reporting proficiency High integrity, attention to detail, and ownership mindset You are someone who: Thinks like a controller, not just a bookkeeper Can spot problems before they become expensive Wants to build systems, not just enter data Why Join North West Restoration?
