hour shifts 24 HOURS A WEEK We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will manage day-to-day financial record-keeping, ensure accuracy in financial data, and support the organization's accounting functions. Must be able to run full cycle payroll, internally, in QuickBooks . Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial records, facilitate timely reporting, and contribute to the overall financial health of our organization. Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software - QuickBook s. Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and ledger entries. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately. Prepare journal entries, including debits & credits, to record financial activities in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Reconcile general ledger accounts regularly to verify accuracy and completeness of financial data. Conduct weekly payroll processing, ensuring correct deductions and timely payments. Support budgeting efforts by tracking expenses and preparing financial reports for management review. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities. Handle governmental accounting requirements and tax-related documentation with transparency and precision. Generate detailed financial reports, including statements and summaries that support strategic decision-making. Qualifications Proven experience with accounting software - QuickBooks Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, non-profit accounting practices, and governmental accounting standards. Knowledge of GAAP guidelines, double entry bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation processes. Experience with bank reconciliation, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing. Ability to perform detailed account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation accurately. Familiarity with technical accounting concepts including financial report writing and budget management. Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail; proficiency in 10 key typing is advantageous. Strong communication skills for clear documentation of financial activities and reporting purposes.
