Job Description

Position overview: Maintain company's financial records, tracks transactions, and supports month-end closing activities. This role is the core support for the finance department, ensuring daily financial data is accurate, organized, and compliant with accounting standards. Essential duties & responsibilities: Maintain and improve the organization's bookkeeping process. Enter bills into QuickBooks and timely process related payments via check, ACH or wire. Invoice customers timely for all wholesale and distributor orders. Handle patron payroll payments and complete necessary reporting associated with the patron payroll. Understanding timecard management, wage calculations, tax withholdings, and benefit deductions. Process employee payroll and related reports and analysis. Prepare sales and use tax returns and file timely. Reconcile credit card statements monthly for all company credit cards. Assist with cost accounting for various products and projects. Complete month end journal entries and reconcile accounts; review, investigate, and correct errors. Provide support and necessary information for audits. Maintain correct licensing and registration of all Carr Valley vehicles. Assist retail stores with questions relating to point of sale system and any other store related items.
Required Job Skills:
Familiarity with QuickBooks and Microsoft products. Must have advanced math skills and close attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and colleagues. A basic understanding of tax compliance, local business regulations (like sales tax implications), and standard accounting principles. High level organizational skills for electronic and physical recordkeeping. Must have the ability to work as a team leader, carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
