Job Description

Job Summary Hochstetler Metals is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions of the company while helping maintain accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the business. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and takes pride in accuracy. This role works closely with management and is best suited for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work in a fast-paced office environment. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable. Record customer payments and vendor invoices. Record and reconcile transactions. Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records. Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes. Prepare financial reports for management. Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation. Help maintain accurate customer and vendor records. Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing digital and paper records. Prepare correspondence, reports, and other business documents. Maintain customer and vendor information in company software. Assist with processing customer paperwork and maintaining accurate records. Help coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and packages. Provide administrative support to management and assist with special projects as assigned. Perform other administrative and bookkeeping duties as needed. Qualification:
3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.. Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping principles. Payroll experience is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in manufacturing, wholesale distribution, or construction is a plus.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
