Job Description
Position Summary Burke is seeking a detail-oriented, organized Part-Time Temporary Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day accounting activities for two business entities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, and supporting month-end close activities while working closely the Accounting Manager. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Bookkeeping Process and maintain daily accounting transactions for two business entities. Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation. Reconcile bank and credit card accounts. Monitor and maintain fixed asset records. Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations. Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Process vendor invoices and prepare payments. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies. Generate customer invoices and apply incoming payments. Follow up on outstanding customer balances as needed. Assist with customer credit applications and vendor setup. Other Responsibilities Maintain organized accounting files and documentation. Assist with special accounting projects as assigned. Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed. Qualifications Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. Experience and proficiency with QuickBooks Experience with general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Experience with Paylocity is a plus. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality. Position Details Part-time, temporary position. Supports accounting functions across two Burke business entities.
