Associate Foreign Exchange Sales Location:
San Jose What you'll do: As an Associate Foreign Exchange Sales professional within the Global Markets Group, you will be responsible for developing foreign exchange business opportunities and expanding client utilization of the Bank's foreign exchange products and services. Working closely with Relationship Managers, Treasury Management partners, Business Development Officers, and other internal stakeholders, you will identify foreign exchange opportunities, develop client relationships, conduct portfolio reviews, communicate market developments, and support the growth of the FX franchise. The role requires regular interaction with clients and prospects regarding international payments, foreign exchange activity, currency exposures, and available FX solutions. This position is designed for early-career professionals seeking to build expertise in foreign exchange sales, business development, financial markets, and commercial banking. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, professional communication skills, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to independently manage opportunities and business development activities within established policies, procedures, and governance frameworks. The Associate Foreign Exchange Sales professional serves as a foreign exchange subject matter resource for clients and internal business partners, contributing to client engagement, FX program development, market education, and revenue growth initiatives across the franchise. Develop foreign exchange opportunities through portfolio reviews, internal referrals, relationship development, and proactive business development activities. Build relationships with clients, prospects, Relationship Managers, Treasury Management partners, and other internal stakeholders to identify and advance FX opportunities. Conduct client and portfolio reviews to identify foreign exchange exposures, international payment activity, and opportunities for increased FX utilization. Communicate market developments, currency trends, and economic themes to clients and internal business partners. Deliver FX presentations, market updates, educational sessions, and eFX platform demonstrations for clients and internal stakeholders. Maintain ownership of assigned opportunities through disciplined CRM management, pipeline maintenance, forecasting, and follow-up. Coordinate client onboarding and implementation activities with Credit, Operations, Middle Office, Compliance, Legal, and other partner teams. Support growth of client FX programs through ongoing engagement, education, and relationship management. Operate in accordance with all FX policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and governance standards. Exercise independent judgment in evaluating opportunities, prioritizing business development activities, and escalating issues when appropriate.
