Full-time Sales & Design Associate Tri-County Office Furniture Opportunity Santa Barbara Salary Range:
Salary commensurate with experience Tri-County Office Furniture is seeking a Sales & Design Associate to support client-facing sales, showroom service, basic design and layout assistance, and order support. You help showroom visitors and clients, prepare quotes and proposal materials, coordinate order details, and build product and system knowledge over time. You report to the President. What You'll Own
  • Serve as a first point of contact for showroom visitors, walk-in clients, and phone inquiries
  • Greet clients and help identify furniture needs, project scope, budget, and timing
  • Provide product information, samples, catalogues, and general showroom guidance
  • Support follow-up communications, client updates, and coordination of next steps
  • Prepare or assist with quotes, pricing, proposal materials, and order documentation
  • Follow up with vendors and internal team members to confirm product details, lead times, specifications, and order status
  • Assist with furniture layouts and space planning using CET or other company-approved tools
  • Revise layouts, quotes, and proposals based on client feedback and internal review
  • Enter, review, and maintain accurate order information and related documentation
  • Maintain organized records of client communication, proposals, product selections, and order details What We're Looking For Required Qualifications
  • Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and client service skills
  • Ability to learn office furniture products, vendor resources, pricing tools, and design and layout systems
  • Ability to work in a showroom environment and assist walk-in clients
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with guidance
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and ability to learn CET or similar design tools Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in customer service, sales, design, office furniture, showroom, or administrative support Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive benefits package provided Work Environment Work is based in a showroom and office setting with occasional client-site activity.
You regularly use a computer and standard office equipment, review samples and visual details, and may occasionally lift or move lightweight samples, catalogues, or presentation materials.
