Position purpose:
The Broker Assistant's role is responsible for trade-related issues, market report translations, account-opening follow-up, and customer interactions. The ideal Assistant candidate is fluent in verbal and written communication, can assist and support the department's staff in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and is bilingual in Spanish and English, with fluent verbal and written skills to communicate with customers throughout Latin America.
Responsibilities:
Primary duties will include: Daily customer interactions regarding order placement, execution, and fills Assists with answering phones, filling order tickets, and checking daily trades and afternoon prelims Filing duties Maintains a high level of customer service for both internal and external clients Handles client requests through responsiveness, follow-up, and escalation to a more senior team member if necessary Works proactively with other team members Maintains prompt and regular attendance This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management deems necessary..

Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with a variety of people comfortably and pleasantly Strong customer service skills Ability to make sound decisions on client issues and problems, including when to escalate to a more senior consultant Exceptional written and oral communication skills Excellent organizational and planning skills Ability to learn and acquire new knowledge and skills effectively Ability to share knowledge and work in a strong, team-oriented environment Strong work ethic and attention to detail Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and AI software
