CAT 1
- All on board Federal Employees/Technicians within the ALARNG (T32 and T5, Permanent and Excepted Indefinite) Duties Help (1) Analyzes maintenance capabilities, production effectiveness, equipment reliability, areas of deficiency, and trends of various small maintenance shops.
Projects involve surveys, comparisons, and studies of current and past operions. Defines requirements and extent of study, methods, sources used, and manner of presention. Determines significance of computed stistics, interprets results, and stes conclusions developed. Determines deficiencies, high failures, and man-hour consumption areas. Makes constructive recommendions for improving maintenance methods and procedures. Compares maintenance requirements with actual performance and determines effectiveness of operions. Performs field surveys for the purpose of developing job standards on maintenance actions. (2) Reviews, extracts, analyzes, and colles maintenance da and prepares maintenance summaries from reports submitted by subordine maintenance activities. Summarizes and interprets significant da collected and reles this da to maintenance plans, standards, and actions. Identifies and analyzes deficiencies in resource consumption, training, workload, and scheduling; evalues deviions from standards and plans; and determines causes and impact on maintenance mission. Assists work center supervisory personnel in interpreting and utilizing reports and informion provided. Develops charts, graphs, tables, and visual media to present trends, performance stus, capabilities, and reled management informion. Aids functional areas in identifying areas of record documention and procedures, which can be streamlined, combined, or improved, and inities methods to opere under the new or revised system. (3) Advises when manpower authorizion appears unbalanced, based on analytical and stistical studies, as directed. Identifies and valides manning required to support the organizional mission by use of various forecasting and stistical techniques. Evalues changes in the operional plan for the program th will affect the maintenance capability forecast. Serves as a management informion systems manager for the branch. Analyzes automion needs and recommends systems architecture for all maintenance operions. Develops, collects, and maintains various da used to evalue and improve the maintenance effort. Monitors da input and output products between the maintenance function and da automion. Evalues da from any source, which is significant to the maintenance operion. : Experience, educion, or training in administrive, professional, investigive, technical, or other responsible work which demonstres analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes, and principles of management. Knowledge of the Nional Guard organizional structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. Experience using computer and automion systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
1-year specialized experience, educion, or training equivalent to least the next lower grade level. Experience, educion, or training which has provided applicion of practices, theories, techniques, and methods of management. Experience analyzing, interpreting, and developing policies and procedures of local management.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY POSITION
- Knowledge of analytical and evaluive techniques to analyze maintenance capabilities, production effectiveness, equipment reliability, which are procedural or factual in nure, and determines deficient areas or trends.
- Knowledge of administrive regulions and opering procedures to identify, analyze, and provide recommendions for improving maintenance methods and procedures.
- Knowledge of management principles, organizional theories, techniques, procedures, and regulions.
- Skill in preparing and presenting findings and making recommendions.
