BUDGET TECHNICIAN

(TITLE 32), GS-0561-7, you will provide technical support for budget analysis and budget administrion. Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list: Independently compile, consolide, coordine and organize the submission of the budget request covering the organizions projected annual program and administrive expenses. Responsible for the timeliness, arithmetical agreement and procedural adequacy of all forms and documents required to support the budget request. Familiar with a wide variety of procedural instructions and regulory requirements issued by the ste and higher echelons within NGB. Exercise judgment in interpreting and applying guidelines for compiling, consoliding, organizing, preparing and documenting budget requests for submission to NGB. Advise on and interpret procedural requirements to managers and staff officials and develop supplementary instructions covering reporting requirements and deadlines for issuance local level. Identify, compile, consolide, check, verify and organize a wide variety of detailed budgetary da reling to different appropriion accounts, object classes and line items covering program and administrive expenses. Choose the proper guidelines and sequence of procedures to be followed in compiling and submitting the budget request. Recommends modificions and draft revisions to local guidelines for such things as budget estimes, reports and processing of funding requests. THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

Level 1 Certified position designed as such in accordance with the Nional Defense Authorizion Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United Stes Code, section 1599d. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certificion program. This certificion requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certificion within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action. AREA OF CONSIDERATION

The areas of considerion for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), in the following manner and sequence: The FIRST area of considerion for this position all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG. The SECOND area of considerion all current Federal Employees. The THIRD area of considerion all Federal re-employment eligible. The FOURTH area of considerion applicants willing to become T32 Dual Stus Technicians and gain ILNG membership. The FIFTH area of considerion U.S. Citizens.

Military Grades :

Minimum rank SPC, not to exceed rank of 1SG.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

: GS-07 Level - MUST ossess specialized experience, which includes least 1-year equivalent to the GS-6 Level; with fundamental working experiences with a valided understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the budget analysis occupional series and grade; types of specialized experience may include interpreting and applying a variety of budget analysis regulions/instructions and guidelines; an understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the Nional Guard financial budget business program requirements; may include knowledge of budget operion, procedures, and program guidelines, concepts, guiding principles, techniques, and practices; experience in administrive, professional or technical work th provided the opportunity to acquire knowledge of management principles, practices, methods and techniques. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through Nional Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizions (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
