We are looking for an experienced Director of Budget and Analysis to support financial planning and performance management for a multi-entity organization in Lawrence, Massachusetts. This role focuses on developing and managing budgets, analyzing financial results, and providing clear guidance that helps leaders make well-informed decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong budgeting expertise, advanced reporting skills, and hands-on experience with Sage Intacct in a nonprofit accounting environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, administration, and monitoring of annual budgets across multiple entities, departments, divisions, and programs.
• Maintain accurate budget structures and financial data within Sage Intacct, ensuring alignment across reports and internal records.
• Perform recurring comparisons of actual results against budget and forecast expectations, highlighting variances, patterns, and financial exposure.
• Advise finance leadership on anticipated funding gaps, cost pressures, and changes in revenue performance that may affect operating plans.
• Support monthly close and reporting activities, including rolling projections and preparation of financial statements.
• Improve budgeting workflows, forecasting methods, financial models, and reporting practices to strengthen planning and policy compliance.
• Prepare detailed financial summaries, forecast updates, and performance reports for executives, managers, board stakeholders, and external audiences.
• Partner with organizational leaders to assess budget proposals, review spending activity, and guide effective allocation of resources.
• Translate complex financial information into practical recommendations and build executive dashboards in Sage Intacct to enhance visibility into performance.
