BENEFITS QUESTIONS About this Job The Office of State Parks (OSP) serves the citizens of Louisiana and visitors by preserving and interpreting natural areas of unique or exceptional scenic value, planning, developing and operating sites that provide outdoor recreation opportunities in natural surroundings, preserving and interpreting historical and scientific sites of statewide importance and administering intergovernmental programs related to outdoor recreation and trails. This position is located in the State Parks Administrative Office in Baton Rouge, LA. The primary purpose of the position is to perform highly complex budget management functions, including budget preparation and analysis; financial analysis, reporting and monitoring; contract monitoring; purchasing monitoring; and LaCarte for the Office of State Parks.

Minimum Qualifications Three years of experience in budget development or analysis, accounting, auditing, policy planning, procurement, contracts or grants management, project management, statistical analysis, or financial services; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties:
Compiles & analyzes historical operational data for budget assessment. Monitors and forecasts revenue& expenditures to identify and report trends & potential funding problems. Prepares budget and revenue projections under direction from the Administrative Program Director Receives, reviews, and verifies supplemental receiving reports and invoices for accuracy and completeness Ensures procurement information is provided to property control officer for tagged property. Oversees accounts payable functions including processing of invoices for payment, tracking of invoice payments, auditing of invoices against purchase documents and reconciliation of discrepancies. Serves as advisor to the Administrative Program Director in the design, development, training, and implementation of fiscal & budget reporting systems Posts audit approval of all LaCarte/Works visa purchasing card statements, logs, receipts, & supporting documentation Serves as the principal point of contact during FEMA recovery meetings. Gathers expenditures & loss revenue pertaining to disasters and notifies GOSHEP. Assists with audits prepared by GOHSEP to determine if accurate funds are received or need to be reimbursed. Collects documentation such as PO's, invoices, LaCarte bank statements, vehicle log reports, rental equipment statements, travel reimbursements, proof of payments, and daily log reports

Work Schedule:
 The State Parks Administrative Office is open Monday-Friday, typical office hours are 8am-4:30pm. This position will work full-time hours, 40 hour work week. Schedule includes paid time off for state holidays.
Travel:
 Position requires occasional travel to state parks and historic sites, statewide, as needed for meetings, training, etc. When travel is required, a state vehicle is provided for employee use while on duty. How to
