Job Description

Our client is a mission-driven non-profit organization in Baltimore. They are seeking a Budget Analyst to provide critical financial analysis and budgeting support to ensure fiscal responsibility and strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Develop, analyze, and monitor budgets for multiple programs and grants. Prepare financial reports and forecasts to support strategic planning. Conduct variance analysis, identifying trends and financial risks. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Partner with program managers to ensure accurate budget tracking and compliance. Support grant reporting and ensure expenditures align with funding requirements. Assist in financial modeling and scenario analysis for organizational planning. Ensure compliance with non-profit accounting standards and policies. Direct experience putting a P&L together
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or grant accounting. Strong Excel skills; experience with financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar). Knowledge of non-profit finance, including grants and restricted funds. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
