Available Help for . The Budget Specialist I, under supervision, performs routine budget preparation and analysis work.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepares journal and budget entries. Collects, analyzes, and reports data
  • Provides advice and assistance concerning budget and funding procedures and methods
  • Assists in the monitoring, processing and tracking requests
  • Assists in reviewing, evaluating, and preparing request for funds
  • Assists in the preparation of annual operating budget
  • Assists in the preparation of legislative appropriations requests, fiscal notes, and analysis of legislation
  • Conducts training
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
