Credit Union Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a leading credit union service organization in the search for a CFO Advisor. This is a highly visible advisory role responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and accounting expertise to credit union and banking clients. Working closely with executive teams, this individual will serve as a trusted advisor on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, regulatory compliance, and overall financial performance.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports for all assigned clients. Assist in developing, evaluating, and implementing policies and procedures for the accounting department. Ensure policies and procedures reflect current regulatory and GAAP requirements/standards. Responsible for financial reporting, financial analyses, cash management, and forecast reports in alignment with client timing requirements for all assigned clients. General ledger reconciliations, analysis of financial accounts, and preparation of journal entries. Provide end-of-month close and produce monthly financial statements for all assigned clients on a timely basis. Preparation of budgets and periodic analysis of budget variances for all assigned clients. Conduct special accounting studies, analyses, and special projects as requested by management. Manage calendars appropriately for client satisfaction and maximum availability. Track hours for billing and product profitability modeling.
Qualifications:
B.A. in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent and five years' related accounting/ finance experience. CPA and/or MBA preferred but not required. 5+ years' experience working for financial institutions or equivalent experience. Fundamental knowledge of GAAP. Proficient with MS products. Expert-level Excel. Detail and deadline-oriented Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills are required. Thoroughness, excellent attention to detail, and good problem-solving skills are required. Ability to work independently and initiate several projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
