This organization is known for delivering complex HVAC and refrigeration solutions across commercial and industrial markets and is looking to bring on a financial leader who can drive structure, visibility, and long-term financial performance. Position Overview The CFO / Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial functions of the organization, including accounting, reporting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning. This individual will play a key role in helping leadership make informed business decisions while ensuring financial processes are accurate, scalable, and aligned with company growth. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both high-level financial strategy and day-to-day operational execution . Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and financial reporting Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes Develop and maintain accurate financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections Provide financial insights and reporting to executive leadership to support strategic decision-making Monitor company performance, profitability, and cost structures Implement and optimize financial systems, processes, and controls Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory guidelines Support project-based financial tracking, including job costing and margin analysis Partner with operations and project teams to improve financial visibility and reporting Manage and develop internal accounting staff as the company grows Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance leadership roles Strong financial acumen with experience in forecasting, budgeting, and reporting Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP systems Experience working in project-based environments (construction, HVAC, mechanical, or similar) Strong understanding of job costing, revenue recognition, and margin analysis Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly Preferred Skills CPA or equivalent certification Experience in construction, HVAC, or mechanical contracting industries Experience scaling financial processes within a growing company Strong systems mindset with ability to improve workflows and reporting structures Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. Tiello LLC is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
