| Chief Financial Officer (CFO) ???? Sarasota, FL 34240. ???? $190,000-$220,000 DOE + Discretionary Bonus. ???? 100% Onsite. We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join an established real estate organization in Sarasota, FL. This is a highly hands-on CFO role for someone who can operate at both the strategic and transactional level -overseeing financial reporting, cash management, job cost accounting, entity structures, investor relationships, and the day-to-day accounting function. What We're Looking For Active CPA required. Approximately 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Strong job cost accounting experience required. Construction industry experience strongly preferred. Strong Sage Intacct experience preferred. Real estate accounting experience highly desirable. Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement analysis. Ability to manipulate and analyze financial data and translate it into meaningful business insights. Experience overseeing multiple entities and complex ownership structures. Strong leadership experience with the ability to supervise and develop accounting personnel. Highly organized with the ability to work quickly and accurately. Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment. Intuitive, proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues before they become problems. Strong communication skills with the ability to serve as a key financial interpreter for business partners , clearly explaining financial results, trends, risks, and opportunities. Key Responsibilities Lead cash management and prepare cash flow projections for existing and anticipated projects. Oversee timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Review financial statements, provide commentary, identify discrepancies, and work with accounting staff to research and resolve issues. Serve as the primary financial resource to business partners, translating complex financial information into actionable business insights. Administer and optimize Sage Intacct and related accounting processes. Oversee job cost accounting , including job cost review, approvals, cost allocations, and cost analysis. Manage investor financial reporting, capital calls, distributions, and related communications. Review contracts, leases, partnership and operating agreements, financing documents, and transaction documents to determine appropriate accounting treatment. Establish new entities and oversee accounting setup, ownership allocations, and related financial processes. Partner with external tax professionals and review tax returns prior to filing. Review insurance coverage and organizational insurance needs. Oversee lease-related financial requirements, tenant billing, reimbursements, improvement costs, commissions, and management fees. Review budgets and financial statements for affiliated associations and community entities. Review loan documentation and related financial requirements. Approve wires and oversee banking activity. Review payroll allocations and related accounting. Oversee investment interest allocations and general ledger activity. Prepare and review closing statements related to real estate transactions. Supervise and provide direction to the Controller and broader accounting function. Support budgeting, pricing analysis, financial modeling, ownership transitions, and other special projects.
Compensation & Location Base Salary:
$190,000-$220,000 DOE.
Bonus:
Discretionary bonus opportunity.
