full-time We are working on an exclusive search for a client in the construction industry looking for their next CFO. The CFO will be providing strategic financial leadership and will work closely with the CEO, President, Board of Directors, and executive leadership team. This is a fully in-office role. The ideal candidate is a strategic, commercially minded financial executive who understands how construction projects, field labor, equipment, backlog, project margins, working capital, and cash flow drive business performance. The CFO will handle the following: Lead the company's financial strategy, long-range planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the CEO, President, Board, and executive leadership team. Oversee construction accounting, WIP, job costing, cost-to-complete forecasting, revenue recognition, and project margin management. Partner with Operations, Project Management, Estimating, and Sales to identify margin risks and improve project profitability. Lead cash flow, working capital, treasury, banking, debt, and liquidity management. Provide financial oversight of union labor costs, payroll liabilities, benefits, and related financial controls while maintaining HR ownership of Payroll operations. Evaluating capital investments Establish and maintain strong financial controls, governance, reporting, and risk-management processes. Lead Finance & Accounting systems strategy, automation, reporting improvements, and scalable processes. Support acquisitions, strategic investments, expansion initiatives, and other growth opportunities. Build, develop, and lead a high-performing Finance & Accounting organization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business MBA or CPA highly preferred. 12+ years of progressive financial leadership experience. 5+ years in a CFO, VP Finance, Divisional CFO, or comparable senior financial leadership role. Construction industry is a must ERP Systems experience is a must Strong experience with FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital, financial reporting, internal controls, and capital planning. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience managing complex, project-based, labor-intensive, or capital-intensive operations. Demonstrated experience partnering directly with CEOs, owners, boards, and executive leadership. Local candidates only, and this is an office role in the Metro Atlanta Area 18648
